Quinn Cook is the son of Janet and Ted Cook. March 23, 1993, he was born in Washington, DC. He’s Kelsey Cook’s sibling. He attended Hyattsville’s DeMatha Catholic Secondary School. Ted’s father was an entrepreneur who ran a Lemonade Stand within United Station. He is a well-known fast-food runner, as well. Cook was just a kid when he received his first basketball. Cook was playing organized basketball by the age of 10 years old.
Cook attended high school at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, and Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. Oak Hill Academy was his secondary school for basketball. After his junior season, Cook was named All-Met Player of the Year by the Washington Post.
Cook’s letter of intent to play basketball at Duke University was signed. Cook was ranked 38th by ESPNU and 37th by Scout.com as he matriculated from high school. The individual favored Duke over Villanova, UCLA, and North Carolina.
