Whether candid cameltoes, wardrobe malfunctions, or for fashion, having a teen camel toe can trigger mixed reactions towards those who have it, regardless of the gender
In my recent article on candid cameltoes, I discussed how the lingo came about and where it is naturally s*xually abusive to have a cameltoe in our society. In this article, I will be keen on why teens should wear and not wear camel toes.
Teen Camel Toe
Teen Camel toe is spreading like wildfire according to a poll on Quora. The poll asked how its users perceived teens having camel toes. The result of the polls shows that many men find teen camel toes very attractive and nice but also s*xually provocative.
2 out of 3 most liked comments on the poll claimed cameltoes in both genders attract the opposite. At that point, they [ anyone you attract with a cameltoe] don’t care how you will feel being s*xually admired or instigated.
I am also looking at another Quora post on teen camel toes and whether they do it intentionally or not. Shocking first 10 comments [ by teens ]stated that they do it intentionally with other comments confirming it.
There is also a school of thought that this is a fashion trend [as I said in my previous article on this topic] and whether it is s*xually provocative or not, the world will grow to accept and normalize it. But we have to ask and know if it is putting out teenagers at any risk in the name of fashion.
Negative Effects of Teen Camel toe
Though the world is comprised of people from different backgrounds and societal and cultural perceptions, the majority of us hold the same justification for body image and modesty. Due to this, teens in camel toes could face negative effects such as;
Body Shaming
Whether you put on camel toes intentionally or unintentionally, there is a higher chance of receiving body shaming comments from peers or teachers. This can lead to embarrassment. self-consciousness and negative impact on self-esteem.
Bullying
At times, the visibility of your camel toe can make a teenager a target of all sorts of bullying. This can lead to psychological effects on the individual, potentially leading to social isolation and emotional stress.
Objectification
Wearing camel toe intentionally or unintentionally can also lead to objectification. Where the focus is only on the s*xualized aspect of the body rather than the person as a whole. This can be very dehumanizing and undermine the person’s sense of worth.
Peer Pressure and Unhealthy Comparison
If other teens or media perpetuate an idealized body image or emphasize the need for a “perfect” appearance, teenagers who display camel toe might feel pressured to conform or compare themselves unfavorably to these standards.
Despite all that, we must strive to create a society where everybody is respected for who he or she wants to be. So, let’s look at some positive effects.
Positive Effects of Teen Camel Toe
Here are some of the effects of teen camel toe:
Body Acceptance
Most of the time, people with camel toes are those with plumpy bodies, and accepting this sense of fashion can challenge society’s beauty standards.
Body Positivity Movement
The visibility of camel toe can contribute to discussions around body positivity and the acceptance of diverse body shapes and sizes. It can be seen as a way to challenge body shaming and promote self-love and acceptance.
Fashion and Sense of Expression
As said throughout this article, camel toe is becoming a fast-rising sense of fashion, and a lot of individuals are using it as an expression through their fashion senses.
Conclusion
Teen camel toes may have positive or negative effects on the person wearing them depending on the society and cultural background he or she is from. Or the upbringing one receives
Regardless of whichever it is, it must be a reminder to know your body and what message you want to put outside.
